Twang-Bang's other innovation is its inertial firing pin

Twang-Bang is an ultra-compact bow and arrow

This CAD example shows a 30-inch archery arrow and a 12-gauge shotgun shell that have been converted into a Twang-Bang 

Here you see the internal structure of the modified arrow shaft.  The firing pin slides freely inside the tube.  A composite carbon fiber and aluminum shell-holder completes the conversion.

When the arrow is launched, inertia forces the firing pin against its rear stop.  When the shell-holder strikes its target, the pin's momentum forces it to slide forward and detonate the shell's center-fire primer.  

Alternatively, the inertial firing pin may have an eccentric protrusion for use with rimfire bullets (typically .22 caliber).  It can also be used to detonate Ramset cartridges.
