Ridesharing is a public transportation phenomenon that's good for everyone however its inherent lack of robust security is preventing growth. Women are particularly uneasy about getting into a car with a random stranger; new rideshare companies such as Safeher, HopSkipDrive and SeeJaneGo underline the need to prevent fear of bad guys from spoiling the ride.

Video surveillance is a proven deterrent against people misbehaving so mounting cameras in rideshare cars is a simple way to insure a safe and pleasant ride.
